Here's what the humans have to say about me:
9/8/10: Caesar has been to the dog park and loves it! His foster mom walks him with a Gentle Leader type harness and he does very well on his walks. She says that he apparently has a love for carpentry, and eagerly "fetched" a drill and then measuring tape! We think Habitat for Humanity or Home Depot could use a hardworking guy like Caesar!
8/22/10: Caesar is now in a foster home in Portland, Maine that he shares with 5 other dogs, 6 cats and a parrot!
His foster mom says that he wants to play with his feline and canine friends in his new environment. He loves to go for walks and is good on a leash! Caesar has learned the "sit" command already and they are working on "stay". He is very food-motivated, and this should help in his training. Caesar sleeps in his crate at night. His foster family is working on some countersurfing. He is a very playful boy who will make a great pet!
8/5/10: CAESAR is about seven months old and we are not quite sure what his genetic make up is - maybe Manchester Terrier and maybe Hound? Someone suggested his ears might be indicative of Beauceron. He is five months old and a bundle of puppy energy! He weighs around 35 pounds.
Caesar is so friendly and loves everyone! He was at a boarding facility and the staff threw balls for him and he loved it! He will sit on command, too! He plays well with other dogs and wanted to chase the cats we tested him with - not to hurt them but just to play. Caesar trots along happily on his daily walks. His favorite time of the day is spent in the shelter yard, where he loves the toys. Caesar sits happily in the shade and is so content chewing on his toy. He is working on his housebreaking and will sit on command. He will be such a GREAT family dog!
Contact us today for an application for this sweet guy. He is currently with a partner rescue in the south but he will be coming north on August 21 and we would love to find him a loving home. Our adoption fee is $300.00 and you can see more information on our fees and process at our website, www.luckypuprescue.org.
