Margie's Story...
“Oh what a beautiful morning; oh what a beautiful day! I have a wonderful feeling, a kind family will adopt me one day!“ Hi, I’m Margie! I’m a beautiful 2-3 year-old Pittie who deserves a comfortable place to rest my paws. I was dropped off at the shelter after I was found with severe wounds to my face & neck. Now that I am all healed up, I’m looking for a family with a loving, positive attitude to match my own. I am extremely people-oriented. After I get my ya-ya's out, I want nothing more than to be with people. One of my favorite pastimes is snuggling up to the volunteers but it's just not the same as a real family. I know SIT & would love to learn more, as I’d do just about anything for belly rubs! I can get over-excited & be very jumpy, so older children would be best to help tire me out. I enjoy the company of other pups but would be equally happy hogging all the attention. Have your people call my people to meet my fantabulous self!

Act quickly to adopt Margie. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Margie, a Huntington American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Huntington, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Huntington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntington paves the way for another one to be saved.
