Betsy's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Betsy's Story...
Tiny and sweet: those two words sum up little Betsy in a nutshell. To a little dog like Betsy, the shelter is a big, scary place, but Betsy has gotten quite brave and now ventures out of her little bed to remind people walking by that she's small, but she's still there! Betsy is happy to go for walks, and seems to like all other animals. But her favorite thing is to cuddle. She will hop up onto your lap like a bunny rabbit and curl up like a cat! Once there, she is content to stay there while you read on the couch, watch the water from a park bench, talk on the phone from a coffee-house patio, or just sit up against the side of a tree to dream. She is the perfect go-everywhere-as long-as-I-can curl-up-in-the-safety-of-your-lap doggie

Act quickly to adopt Betsy. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betsy, a Berkeley Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
