What a lover....Harley was pulled out of the OB shelter and is now in the air conditioning enjoying just being cool. He needs to put on a little weight but is happy to be getting two meals a day now. He's on a premium brand Pro Plan Chicken and Rice Adult formula. Loves it!
Okay ready for the sad news...he's heartworm positive. We have a sponsor for Harley to go through treatment....Thank You Robert and Shannon Feol!! You've saved this guys life! He will be neutered first and get his weight up a bit. He'll be placed on preventative so he doesn't get any worse.
Harley has a wonderful temperment and is getting along with the other dogs here and the cats too. We'll see how it goes as he learns to settle in a bit. Will keep you updated on his progress.
Harley did wonderful at his frist adoption day, enjoyed meeting all the people and other pets. He found a new foster Daddy too! Thank you so much James for helping this guy have a second chance at love.
Harley is current on all his vaccines, wormed for parasites, neutered and on heartworm-flea & tick preventatives. His coat is improving and he's just enjoying life again.
Save 1 Pet is a 501 C 3 approved charity committed to helping homeless animals. We don't have a facility (shelter) but work out of our homes and foster the animals until they can find a forever home.

Please be advised that for all adoptions, we will conduct reference checks, including veterinary references. Our adoption fee for dogs is $95 which includes spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccines, worming and heartworm/flea/tick prevention.
For dog adoptions, we do conduct fence verifications.
When adopting an animal, you will be asked to complete our Adoption Contract.
