Hi! I’m Sugar Bean - and that name suits my personality too! I am a sweet 10 lb, 10 year old Shih tzu mix. I was found as a stray and brought to MaxFund by a Good Samaritan. Therefore, not much is known about my past but it is clear that I am a true gentleman.
I am friendly, easy going and mellow. I get along with men as much as women and I think children are nice too. I have to say that I would prefer that any toddlers and young kids in my family are grand kids – you know it is great when they visit and you look forward to seeing them but having them everyday…? Well you get the idea (tee hee!). I get along fine with other friendly, small dogs. I don’t bother about cats so if they are fine with me then I would be happy to live with one (or two).
I am housetrained of course - I did mention that I am a mature gentleman! I am well-behaved and calm. I like sleeping quite near to my human(s) but being on a comfy doggie bed on the floor is fine. I am an affectionate guy and being cuddled is also very pleasant! Car rides are fun - I just settle down and look out the window. I love taking walks and have no problem with stairs. Since I am a compact and versatile little dog I would do well in an apartment, patio home or of course any size house with a yard.
I am hoping to find a family who appreciates my tolerant spirit and wants an affectionate and loyal companion to share leisurely strolls and watch evening sunsets over the river (alternatively TV on the couch together would be good too!). If that could be you please come and introduce yourself!
