Meet Katie This sweet peke came to us from owners who could not care for her needs. She is only about 3-5 yrs old, and weighs about 11 lbs. You see Katie ended up in an overcrowded shelter where she was to be euthanized due to temperament issues, but a kind officer took her under his wing and helped her to learn that not all humans are cruel. She was adopted from the shelter after a few months of special care by this special man, but she showed her new family that she was still fearful of some things. Thus, she was brought to us and our Program. Here she has learned more trust and seeks snuggling with us. She will be available to only a special family who understands dogs who have suffered abuse. Her adoption donation is only $400, and this is little for such a darling little peke who deserves a loving respectful family. We do not have a shelter and our rescues are housed in a private home. For security reasons, ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS WILL BE INVITED TO MEET OUR RESCUED FURKIDS. "Drop-ins" are not permitted. If you have room in your heart and home for one of our rescued furkids, please submit an Adoption Application.
We depend on public support/donations to house and care for these sweet dogs. Donations may be made via Paypal to Donate@pekesandpals.org. Your donations are tax deductible! so PLEASE consider helping us to save more abandoned dogs.
We are located in Fort Myers, Florida. Out-of-state adoptions are acceptable, but WE DO NOT SHIP ANY OF OUR RESCUED COMPANIONS, and adopting families must come to Pekes and Pals to complete the adoption process. Sorry, NO EXCEPTIONS.
