My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Visit http://www.sarahstreasuresrescue.net for more information or to fill out an application.

Xena is approximately 3-4 years old and a female Pit Bull Mix. She is short and stocky and stands just above the knees and weighs in around 60 pounds. She was originally adopted from our rescue, but returned due to the owners moving and unable to find a place to allow Xena.

Xena has been vet checked, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, spayed, and microchipped. Xena is also started on her flea/tick/heartworm preventatives.

Xena is currently around other dogs and does pretty well. She has previously lived with small dogs with no issues at all. Xena seems to prefer male dogs over female dogs, and does best with submissive companions. She has been taken to the dog park in the past and always done well with proper leadership. Xena has also been around cats and had no issues at all -- she would do well living with cats.

Xena is a very sweet and friendly girl. She is happy to meet new people and just loves to give kisses. Xena is working on her manners and learning not to pull on the leash -- she is making steady progress and doing well. Xena knows how to come, kennel up, sit, and wait. She is also working on down. She's a smart girl and treat motivated. Xena has a low to medium energy level and loves to go for walks and run and play in the yard. Xena is kennel trained and believed to be housetrained as she has not had any accidents. With a little time and training, Xena will make an excellent companion.
