Thor's Story...
Thor has had an interesting life in 2 yrs. Turned over to my vet to be put 'down' for his escapades ie: going through an electric fence. He only wanted to play with the neighborhood teenagers, and the other dogs. My vet felt he was a good candidate for rescue- the owner said I don't care do what you want. So I got Thor. He was a little bit wild ( teenager time), needed attention more than anything. He has settled down beautifully. He does have a bad habit of mouthing arms. The one family who attempted to have him join their home felt it was a scary habit with small kids. His leash training has come along beutifully. He loves to JOG. Car rides are a bonus with him also. He does need someone who has a strong personality. Don't get me wrong he is a sweetie- but if you don't sound like you mean business you won't get any response from him. lol

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thor, a Gapland Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever for sale in Gapland, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Gapland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gapland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gapland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gapland paves the way for another one to be saved.
