Kimo is a 4 yr. old neutered male Australian Shepherd. He weighs about 45 pounds. He is a double merle which in his case has resulted in being DEAF and VISION IMPAIRED. He is very happy and affectionate and he loves to go for walks and play ball.

Kimo is doing extremely well in his foster home meeting all the new canine roommates and learning a new schedule. Kimo is being crate trained and is doing very well -he sleeps quietly through the night. Kimo will bond very closely with a human and needs a home where he will be in the house most of the time and will be able to be near people. Australian Shepherds are what we call zelcro dogs....they love to be with their family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kimo, a Mesa Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Mesa, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Mesa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mesa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mesa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mesa paves the way for another one to be saved.
