My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aida was adopted through Companion Pet Rescue on January 4th, 2011! Thank you, CPR!
Had enough of rambunctious puppies? Want a steady, reliable, & calming influence at home? Ready for a double-dose of mature, unconditional love? Then let me introduce you to Aida! Aida really, truly needs to find her very own furever home or a foster home immediately.

she is GREAT on a leash, knowing sit, heel, come, even stay. she's the perfect people companion. she's not enjoying being crated, but tolerates it for nighttime. We currently are keeping her in our office because she is getting out of the crate. if we didn't have another female dog that doesn't get along with her, i would leave her to roam the house being that she hasn't been destructive, well, she does get into the dog food if we don't have it put away.

aida is very agile & can jump up to 5.5' gates.

Aida needs to be an only dog, since she has had issues with our girl dog who is very dominant, hence aida feeling intimidated by her. but you won't regret having just one child if she is yours. Aida is a very loving and sweet girl who loves all people and is most eager to give kisses. While she's been in a foster home with cats, she is not left unattended with them; Aida is a little too eager to wrestle with her kitty friends for that.

Aida is a knee-high 54 lb yellow dog who is 2-3 years old; she may be younger but I'd rather guess a year over than under. She is very playful and energetic if encouraged to play/run. she absolutely completely loves a tennis ball. squeaker toys are also a fave but they don't last very long before she tears them apart. a nylabone or merrick steamed bone also keeps her very busy when hanging out. Otherwise she's content to be a lapdog or hang out in 'her' recliner if there's no room on the sofa.

at night, she'll sleep in 'her' recliner or in bed with us or at the foot of the bed on her doggie bed, whichever we ask her to do basically.

aida is housetrained AS LONG AS she's on a schedule. we have a doggie door and there were only a couple of accidents before she figured it out. but like any dog, it takes a couple of weeks to get on a new schedule & adjusted to a new home.

Some good people out there don't do puppies & prefer a mature youthful gal, and that's exactly what Aida happens to be. I don't want to insult her, but I think her breed is best described as Heinz 57 including yellow lab, pitty, maybe shar pei, she looks just like a tiny dogue de bordeaux.

Aida is like velcro to people. While she does talk, she is not a big barker.

She was found as a stray/abandoned dog. Aida has had puppies based on her mammeries but her milk has dried up & we have had her spayed. Now she can be someone's baby rather than have babies. I'm pretty sure she's glad about both of those statements.

Our girl is extra sweet, she comes when called, enjoys going out on adventures as well as the quiet life at home.

She is current on all her vaccinations and is heartworm negative, plus she's spayed. Aida is current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

Aida is so loving & gentle, I want her to get the best life has to offer, which includes a human to love her & walk her & let her sleep at their feet at night. This girl definitely deserves an upgrade from her previous life. Thank you for considering Aida. Please email if you'd like to see all the photos of her!
