Gibson's Story...
Hi I am Gibson, I am a loving sweet girl. If you sit down I am there sitting with you. I will follow you around too and watch what you are doing and if I can help I will. I am quiet, loving and kind. Please come visit me I am here waiting for you..

If you think you might enjoy being my best friend, please come by the shelter or stop by PetSmart in Conyers for a nice meeting.

See you soon!

You can call the shelter for an appointment to meet me, or come to PetSmart in Conyers or Bethlehem for a meet and greet.

None of us are exactly at our very best at PetSmart, but that's just because we're used to having lots of love and fun at our shelter home and going to PetSmart with all the loud noises and bright lights is a little scary. Still, you can see how handsome I am and that I'd be really great as your new forever best friend.

At Altered Feral State, we work with feral cat colonies. All of our kittens were removed from the colonies and completely socialized when they are less than 8 weeks old. We don't offer them for adoption until they have been tested, vaccinated and spayed or neutered.

Our adoption fee of $75 only covers a very small portion of our costs, but to us, it's all about finding the best home for these wonderful kitties.
If you are interested in providing a home for Gibson, please go to our website, download our adoption application and email it to us at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gibson, a Monroe Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Monroe, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Monroe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Monroe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Monroe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Monroe paves the way for another one to be saved.
