Pearl's Story...
Please contact Gail (Homewardboundpugs@cox.net) for more information about this pet.

Pearl is seven years old and was turned into a local shelter by her owner. It is possible Pearl might be older but we are not positive. She is very camera shy and after chasing her around the house and yard for several minutes, she finally plopped down on a dog bed and let us take her picture. Pearl is as round as she is long but so very sweet. She came to us with a urinary tract infection and upon further examination we discovered she was loaded with bladder stones. There were three huge ones and several small ones inside of her. She must have been so uncomfortable and I am sure she feels so much better now. Pearl loves to be by your side and is just a complete squishy love. She has lots of love to give and hopes there is a family out there looking for a sweet senior to love.

If you are interested in any of our pugs, please complete an application at www.homewardboundpugs.com

Pearl is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pearl, a Norman Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Norman, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Norman.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norman already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norman breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norman paves the way for another one to be saved.
