Brodie's Story...
Hi! My name is Brodie...
I am a young male golden retriever mix. Right now I weigh 43 lbs but am very thin and need to gain a few lbs. I have long lanky legs and big feet so I may be a pretty good sized boy when I am finished growing.
I am probably about 1-2 years old and am still in the playful puppy stage. My new foster mom is getting to know me better and will update my info when she knows more about me. If you think that you can give me a great forever home, Please email the rescue for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brodie, a Hagerstown Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
