Exceptionally Handsome Beagle Man Looking for Patient Loving Home!
Well I’m not certain where I should even begin. I was found at a truck stop where I had been hanging out for a couple of weeks. Some folks believe I had been dumped there by my original family as I was waiting so patiently for them to return. There was an air of sadness about me for several weeks once I was brought into my foster home. They couldn’t quite grasp why I was so sad. I’ve been slowly coming out of my shell and realize now that my past is just that, the past. My future is what is most important and finding a home that will love me forever! I have so much love and devotion to give to just the right home.
My ideal situation would provide a laid back home with patience and guidance. People that wouldn’t be gone for too long during the day. I am a bit reactive to quick hand movements so young children are not my cup of tea. (They make me nervous.) More than anything I would love to be the center of attention and adored by you. I don’t really know how to play with other dogs but will tolerate a female doggy companion. I do just fine playing all by myself! I’ll toss my toys in the air or bat them around. If you would like to join me in play that is fantastic too.
I am house and crate trained! I don’t particularly care for leash walks but foster mom thinks with time and patience I could learn to enjoy them more. I really need a fence in yard as I don’t like to do my “business” on leash. Don’t worry though I don’t go in the house once I know the routine. I enjoy going for car rides! I just curl up and go to sleep. I will look to you for confidence and encouragement when it comes to meeting strangers. My uncertainty can get the best of me. Learning to trust is going to be the key, so I’ve heard.
I am the best cuddle man around! I love to nuzzle under my foster moms arm when we lay down. I feel safe and secure there. A home that would enjoy me on the couch and in the big bed at night would be fantastic! I will provide the most loyalty and devotion to the right home! I do hope you are out there looking for me!
Foster Home note: Spencer is the most loyal beagle I have ever met. His ideal home will continue to help him build his confidence and take him to positive reinforcement obedience classes. He is nervous during thunderstorms and other loud noises. I am certain in the right situation he will blossom into and exceptional beagle boy!
