Patches's Story...
Patches is one of the most affectionate dogs you'll ever meet. He is a sweet, good-natured boy whose cheerfulness belies his abusive past. Healing scars indicate that Patches was likely very mistreated before he found his way to the Berkeley shelter. Patches has shown great resilience and has exhibited nothing but the most good-natured of temperaments. He greets his human friends with effusive kisses, asking only for kindness (and a good walk) in return. A lumpy scar on his leg is healing nicely and he's able to go on walks with volunteers. Relishing his second lease on life, Patches is eager to please and will easily make a loving, loyal canine companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patches, a Berkeley American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
