Bishop's Story...
Bishop is a very handsome mid-sized pittie with a glossy taupe coat and eyes to match. He's an affectionate, but polite dog who is happy to give you a good lickin' or curl up right beside you if you sit down in his kennel. Needless to say, he has impressed us all with his calm demeanor. Bishop does not seem to have had a great deal of education in his past, so he will need help learning basic commands. For an apparently untrained dog, he walks quite well on a leash: he is not a big puller and does not seem to mind crossing paths with other dogs. Bishop is very inquisitive, and wants to investigate everything he comes across. This pooch is a definite people-lover with the right mindset to be a great family dog. Stop by to meet him and see whether he'd fit into yours.

Act quickly to adopt Bishop. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bishop, a Berkeley American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
