SCOOBY's Story...
SCOOBY is a 5 yr old boy who really wants to find that special person to bond with. He seems to thrive on one-on-one relationship with humans who give him plenty of attention, love and affection. No quick or sudden movements around Scooby - this frightens him. He needs a calm atmosphere, so no small kids is best. He has a very sweet nature and is very quiet, rarely barking. He does enjoy going on walks, car rides and being in the yard, but prefers to wander in another direction rather than be with other dogs who are exploring and running around. Too much movement and excitement will send him to his crate. He does need plenty of TLC. Loves to be groomed and brushed.

SCOOBY is currently being fostered in PUTNAM county. To learn more about adopting him, go to www.coastalpoodlerescue.org/poodles/poodledetail.cfm?dogID=1345

APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED ONLY FROM FULL/PART-TIME RESIDENTS OF FLORIDA AS A HOME VISIT IS REQUIRED; NO EXCEPTIONS. IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN FLORIDA, PLEASE LOOK FOR RESCUE GROUPS IN YOUR HOME STATE. WE APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION.

Can't adopt right now? Consider becoming a foster home for a rescue dog; it's temporary, but very fulfilling and your only cost is their food! Fill out a volunteer application from our website at www.coastalpoodlerescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SCOOBY, a Melbourne Miniature Poodle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Poodle for sale in Melbourne, or seeking a Miniature Poodle dog from a breeder in Melbourne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Melbourne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Melbourne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Poodle breeders who help with Miniature Poodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Melbourne paves the way for another one to be saved.
