LONESOME is located in Susanville CA for the right adopter there may be partial transport at least to Redding will be spayed before leaving there is an adoption fee as well of course NOT a good picture hoping for better by tomorrow Very sweet dog who has had a hard life. She was first brought to our Shelter along with her 7 unweaned puppies. The dog and her puppies were happy and very friendly. The Shelter was full and the puppies too young so we asked the owner to please bring the dogs back in one week and then we would be able to take them all in. We even gave the owners a 50 pound bag of dog food to tide them over until then.... the next day we received a call about a momma dog hanging out down near a local river parking lot. When the dog was brought in she was recognized and staff went to the location she was found and searched for her puppies. No puppies were found but there was the ripped open 50 pound bag of dog food laying there and all around were raccoon/ coyote tracks. It is feared the puppies were found by the raccoons and or coyote during the night. The poor Mother dog was distraught and it took a week for her to come to us for petting. The sadness in her eyes was almost unbearable to see. Lonesome was adopted by a kind lady but she just didn't work as as Lonesome is somewhat active and will need to go for daily walks as she is a young healthy large breed dog. Please give this sweet girl the chance she deserves! there is a adoption fee since we have to pay the vetbill to get her fixed etc and a adoption process
