Lucky's Story...
Hi, my name is Lucky. I am about 8 months old. I sure do need a good home. I've been staying with a foster mom for about two months and she has shown me what it is like to eat every day, have a cool dry place to sleep at night and just not be so lonely. Boy it sure is nice to live this way. A fellow could get used to being treated this way all the time. I play well with other dogs and like most people that I meet. I'd make a really good friend to someone that would take good care of me. I have been neutered, got my shots and I am doggy door trained. Hope to see you and maybe, just maybe you'll take me home and love me!! Adoption includes neuter surgery, shots, flea prevention, dewormer and first bag of Science Diet puppy food. A seven day trial period is included as part of the adoption so you can make sure the pet is right for your family. Please call or email for more information. Be sure to include your phone number so a volunteer can reach you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky, a Kingwood Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Kingwood, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Kingwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kingwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kingwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kingwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
