Dusty's Story...
Dusty is a WONDERFUL German Shepherd! He is between 2-3 years old and appears to be purebred, although since he was a shelter dog so we don’t know for sure. He is well behaved, knows commands, and is SO handsome! Old enough to be mellow and gentle in public, young enough to want to romp and play with others at an off-leash park. He is a big goofball with LOTS of energy!

By the way, this fabulous fella has a part in an upcoming feature film titled "More Than Puppy Love 2". Imagine the envy of all your friends and family when they find out your rescued dog is an actual Movie Star!

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Mark at 816.807.3211or markbopp-hahs@comcast.net so you can find out how to meet DUSTY!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dusty, a Overland Park German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
