Charley's Story...
Hi, I’m Charley and I am one sweet girl! I wandered up at a nice family’s home and they took me in. They thought because I was so pretty and sweet, I must have a home – but no one claimed me after they hung fliers and put ads in the paper. Sadly, they say this happens a lot in the South. Well, here I am, looking for a forever home. I’m about 6 months old and already weigh about 50 lbs, so I’m going to be a bigger girl. I get along great with kids and have a very sweet disposition – my foster mom says that means I’m nice and loving. Since I’m new to the group they are still learning about me – but they said they will help me find my own FORever home. If you think that might be with you, please email the group at forrescuetn@gmail.com for an application or more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charley, a Huntsville Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner puppy from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
