Hunter*Foster me's Story...
br>AARF only adopts in Richmond, Virginia and the surrounding area. Hi, my name is Hunter. I'm a Border Collie mix born in December of 2009. I am very sweet and loving. I'm good with kids. I love playing with dogs, even big ones. I'm just an all around great, happy-go-lucky dog. I'm looking for a home that has a fenced yard (and some training can't hurt). For more information, contact aarfva@hotmail.com or visit us at our pet adoption stand Saturdays from 11-2 at the Petsmart on Libbie Ave and Broad St.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hunter*Foster me, a Richmond Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
