Paco's Story...

AARF only adopts in Richmond, Virginia. Hey out there, my name is Paco and I was rescued from a back yard breeder! I was flea and tick infested and was living in a make shift pen!! The breeder told the lady that bought us that one of the pups disappeared and he thought a snake or hawk got it!! She could not leave us there!! She paid him to get us out of there and brought us to an AARF volunteer, so that we could find a good home. They think I was born in May or June of 2010. I weigh around 8 pounds. The breeder said that my dad was a Jack Russell and my mom was a Chihuahua.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paco, a Richmond Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
