Sandy's Story...
Hello there! My name is Sandy and they tell me I am a "calico/tabby" whatever that means. I know that I am very pretty and that I am looking for a new home to call my own. I was rescued from a wearhouse near the airport in May with my brothers and sister. We were so scared at that time that our litter was nicknamed "the hissers" for the first couple of weeks. We really didn't know what else to do! Anyway, we really like people now - especially if they play with us and feed us good kibble. The lady at PAWS tested us all for Feleuk/FIV/Heartworm and said we were all negative and healthy. Then she got me spayed and updated on all my vaccinations. So now I am ready to find a new home. I am a bit shy at first but when I get to know you I purr like crazy, love to play with balls and spend a lot of time laying around being pretty. My adoption fee is $70 if you are interested in me - I hear that is a really good price for all the work they have done to me. Would you like to make me the newest member of your family?
If you are interested in making Sandy a new member of your family, please contact PAWS for an Adoption Request form at pawsok@sbcglobal.net. This is the first step in adoption and is used to help us match you with a cat or kitten that best meets your desires, experience and home environment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sandy, a Oklahoma City Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Oklahoma City, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Oklahoma City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oklahoma City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oklahoma City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oklahoma City paves the way for another one to be saved.
