Whiskers - 6 year old male purebred Miniature Schnauzer. You couldn't ask for a more loyal and faith companion than Whiskers. He is beautifully obedienced trained. Loves to go for walks and his favorite passtime is to play ball. He is quite skilled at playing ball he can catch it in mid air and will bring it back an place it in your hand!! Whiskers has been in rescue for a quite a while... too long, he needs to go to a home of his own and would like nothing better than that for Christmas! We believe Whiskers was abused because he has some fear issues with strangers. But given the opportunity to form a bond with someone he becomes extremely loyal and affectionate little fellow in a few weeks. He has been in several foster homes and bonded well with his caretakers. He has been obedience trained and is extremely well mannered. Whiskers needs an adult only home and would probably do best as an only dog (although he is fostered with other dogs and gets along with them, he just doesn't interact much). We think Whiskers would do wonderful with a retired person or couple. Whiskers loves men too and would make a good single man's companion as well. While Whiskers will never be a social butterfly, we believe he can be a wonderful companion animal to someone willing to give him that opportunity. Whiskers is a handsome boy about 23 pounds with striking salt/pepper markings.

Our Adoption Fairs are held every Saturday at the PETCO located at 537 N. PCH Redondo Beach CA 90277 from noon-4pm.
