Heidi's Story...
Heidi ho, boys and girl, ladies and gentlemen! My brother Bouncer and I arrived here at FOHA after our parents got divorced. Sometimes reality hits you pretty hard, right between the eyes, and when you least expect it. Thank goodness I had him to lean on, because I didn't know what was happening. He's my main man, my rock! I'm a sweet, quiet, loving girl, who loves everyone. I like making new friends, but Bouncer has to meet them too, just to make sure they're up to snuff. He's just looking out for my best interest. What a guy, I love him! What can I say? I'm a very gentle and affectionate girl and a very polite little lady. I'm already housetrained, too. I would love it if Bouncer and I could find a home together. Together we have twice as much love to give our new family. (PLEASE NOTE: I can only be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heidi, a Aldie German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Aldie, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
