Nova's Story...
Say hello to Nova! He is about eight weeks old and he loves to meet new friends. He is very fluffy fawn with a little white and he loves to play! Nova is great with kids, cats and dogs and he is a pro at dragging around a squeeky toy! He and his siblings were brought into the kill shelter when they were barely six weeks old. One of them had a skin problem so they were going to instantly put them to sleep when a volunteer intervened and we pulled them out. They were pretty thin so after some love, some medical care and a whole lot of good food they're ready to go! They're still a little thin but they're growing every day and are ready for their new homes! Because of their age they are too young to spay or neuter so their new family will receive a 50$ rebate when they have it done at 6 months old and voucher information will be provided.

Our dogs are mainly fostered in TN at our parent rescues . We have many wonderful dogs looking for homes! All of them are completely vetted and neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm protection. All of them come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $425 covers their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm preventative as well as their transportation to your area.
Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in the Maine area. Due to this it is not possible to meet them prior to their adoption. Our dogs are brought up to their new owners weekly! We have a 14 day no questions asked money back guarantee and the dog can be returned to us if things don't work out. We try hard to get good matches in our homes so that everyone has a happy life together! To date we have placed over a thousand dogs and puppies in loving homes from Tennessee clear up to Canada!
We have many, many, references of happy adopters up in your area that can fill you in on their experience. Just email and we can pass along that information for your convenience.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nova, a Portland Border Collie/Cocker Spaniel puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Cocker Spaniel for sale in Portland, or seeking a Border Collie/Cocker Spaniel puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Border Collie/Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
