Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am so very tired and desperately need a break…just someone to help me, understand me and love me. After spending eight years with my “family,” they gave me up because they said they could no longer afford to keep me. No one is quite sure what they meant, because my whole life was spent outside anyways. I had never even been in a car, much less to see a vet. My family wasn’t even sure if I was afraid of thunder—they just assumed that my doghouse was enough for me. I had one episode with someone, but we are not quite sure what triggered my reaction; maybe I was too revved up, or maybe that person reminded me of someone mean from my past. I was originally tested with dogs and cats but was reported to be somewhat indifferent towards them. Because I was never fed regularly before coming to Save-A-Pet, I tend to be a little protective of my food, but some time and patience from my special friends is helping me get over this issue of mine. I would love for you to come meet me so I can learn to love and trust you. I just need you to be patient before taking me to my forever home! If you would like to come and meet me, please schedule an appointment by calling 847-740-7788 ext. 100..
