Sweetheart's Story...
Meet Sweetheart! This gorgeous shepherd/husky mix is looking for a forever home. Around a year old, Sweetheart came to the shelter after being found as a stray, so we do not know her history. But we do know that she is a calm, affectionate girl who will make a great companion. True to her name, Sweetherat loves everyone that she meets and seems to get along well with other dogs too! And, she is a champion cuddler!

She is working on her leash manners, and she’s even learning what a training clicker is and that it leads to yummy treats! This versatile girl would fit well in any family. She yearns for a yard to play in, a comfy couch to nap on, and most of all, lots of love.

Would you be willing to give Sweetheart her second chance? If so, contact her adoption consultants, Mike and Jen, at 216-702-3632 or mlray1013@gmail.com for more information. Sweetheart is in a foster home, so she will set up a vist. One look at her sweet face and we promise that you’ll be hooked!

** The adoption fee helps to cover the general veterinarian check-up, heartworm test, spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, rabies vaccination, worming, flea preventative, and microchip that all dogs adopted through Berea ARF receive prior to going into their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweetheart, a Berea German Shepherd Dog/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Husky for sale in Berea, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Husky dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Husky breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
