Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maggie is an All-American-Mutt who came to the shelter and promptly produced several healthy puppies. All the puppies and Maggie were adopted to different families but Maggie was returned after several months because the person didn't have time for her. Maggie was adopted again and her owner had only praise for what a wonderful dog she is in the home. Unfortunately this owner was not physically able to manage Maggie on a walks and knew a young energetic dog needs regular exercise. Maggie is medium sized and weighs a healthy 60lbs but she can pull powerfully on leash when she becomes focused on distractions during a walk. The handlers are working with Maggie on her walking using a gentle leader as well as obedience training and commands to help Maggie redirect her attention. Maggie loves people and playing but can become over excited and start jumping; conversely she can be attentive and work hard for food rewards, which she takes with a gentle mouth. Maggie needs an active person who will give her lots of love and attention and wants to work with her on-leash behavior.
