UPDATED BIO 10/3/2010: Dexter is a little boy at 3.5 lbs and 8-9 years old. He is being fostered in Miami, FL.
Dexter had a big week last week. He had a dental cleaning and neuter and lost 16 teeth!!!! Sadly, the smaller the yorkie the more attention owners need to pay to their dental hygeine. Sadly, nobody ever bothered to clean or brush Dexter's teeth. He only has 2 remaining teeth and will need to eat soft food (wet canned food or dry food that has soaked overnight in the fridge). He is a happy little guy and is a very "low-maintenance" pup. Dexter loves walks, treats, and cuddling. He is a pocket-pup and can go with you anywhere! Please consider Dexter. He's ready to go!
INITIAL BIO 09/30/2010: My name is Dexter, and I am around 8-9 years old. I am just a widdle boy and weigh only 3.5 lbs. I am being fostered in Miami, FL. Well, here's my story....
I was found as a stray and brought to a South Florida high kill shelter.... we all know how that story would have ended up..... but that's the end of my sad story. My life took a happy turn when my foster mommy showed up and let me lick her nose through my cage door. She told me that she would save me and put my picture online so everybody could see my face and know my story. She said that's how she finds new mommies and daddies for us homeless furkids. She told me that there are lots of people looking for little punkinheads like me and that I was going to be adopted in no time flat! Neat, huh? Boy was a lucky puppy that day.
Foster mommy says I'm perfect. Really she did!! I go potty outside. I play with toys. I get along with the other furkids. See? Perfect! Do you want me to be your buddy? I am going to get my toofers cleaned (and probably lots of them removed) tomorrow! eek!! I'm also getting neutered. I don't mind because there are too many puppies running around. I am going to help control the pet overpopulation problem here in Florida! Well,what are you waiting for? Please fill out an application for me, Dexter!
