Benchley's Story...
Benchley was rescued from the streets 5 years ago by a kind woman who sadly, is very ill and is in a stage 4 illness and could not care for her or her canine siblings anymore. The woman's husband was going to bring her to be “put down” at a time she was needed most..we couldn’t let that happen to such a loyal and loving dog- or to her mom who was doubly heartbroken.

Benchley is a real angel who, in her younger years once chased a pizza delivery guy UP A TREE- turns out, she just wanted his pizza and to give him a kiss of gratitude! It's kind of her claim to fame and we think she likes when we tell this story! She lets all animals dominate her and is very passive, sweet and easygoing. She has learned over the past few years while her moms been sick and in treatment, to ask for very little and accept that. She just hangs around, not bothering anyone. Her favorite act of affection is to fall asleep with her head on your lap!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benchley, a Boca Raton Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Akita for sale in Boca Raton, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Akita dog from a breeder in Boca Raton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boca Raton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boca Raton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Akita breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boca Raton paves the way for another one to be saved.
