THIS IS SHAKESPEARE.....who is really a ham on the stage of life!! This gorgeous, black/tan, 20 lb , 2 yr old Lhasa Apso X, was a favorite amongst the shelter volunteers....but didn't do so well with the "men in uniform" who really scared him!! Shakespeare is very active and will need lots of playing and exercise. This is not a couch potato! He is very friendly with people, and wants to be near his human. He does settle down but probably would do best in a home where there are older kids and the activity level is moderate to high. He LOVES his toys and he LOVES other little dogs....but will bark at big dogs. His former home left him outside and he never really learned how to play with dogs, so he was an "in your face" kind of playful pup. However, now that he has gone thru Doggie Bootcamp, he is much better. He needs a guardian who will keep him in line and exercise and love him to life. He'll need some housetraining pointers but will do best with outside access (no apartment living for this dude). He graduated from Doggie Land Bootcamp with honors. He is absolutely NON AGGRESSIVE with anyone or anything. He loves to play fetch and is very curious. He's bigger than your average lhasa, more to love! He gives kisses and when he looks at you with his big brown eyes...you want to put the world at his paws! This dog can be seen at the Westchester Petco, 8801 S. Sepulveda Blvd., 12-4pm on October 21. Or, if she is not adopted, come see this pup at our adoptions event on Sundays in Brentwood at the Farmer's Market between Montana and San Vicente on Gretna Green Way, (mapquest 740 Gretna Green Way, Brentwood, CA).
