My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Rosie and I am @ 1 yr old. Rosie is the name my rescuer gave me because of my rose-colored nose, mouth and tongue, and she told me my future will be rosy now that I'm safe with NASPR. They will find me a home where someone will love me forever and not throw me away like last weeks garbage. You see, I was left in the night depository drop box at the animal control shelter. I put up quite a struggle going into that box and tried so hard to get out as I spent the night alone and frightened in that dark box. When the shelter staff found me in the morning, my beautiful face was all scratched up. My face is healed now, but I still have scars on my heart. I am insecure around men but with love and patience, I'm sure I can learn to trust them again. My rescuer thinks it might have been a man who stuffed me in that box. I like all the women I’ve met and jump 2 feet in the air to give them sweet Pei kisses. I wag all over with excitement when I see children and other dogs. I ride good in the car and love to go for a walk. I walk really well on a lead. My rescuer is a senior citizen who is small and can’t go fast. When I feel the lead go taunt, I stop or slow down for her. I understand some commands: no, come, down and I’m housebroken. The woman senior citizen who rescued and is fostering Rosie said that if her senior Sha-Pei had accepted Rosie, she would never leave her family. Won't you please make Rosie a member of yours?
