Charlene's Story...
I’m a sweet, quiet girl named Charlene. I stayed at the pound longer than most because the workers just couldn’t bear to see anything happen to such a sweet girl. They wanted to make I had a safe place to go, and I think they were almost excited as I was when FOHA came to my rescue. I’m great with kids and other dogs, and I’m also housetrained. I’m very gentle and easy to walk, and my manners are impeccable. One of my favorite activities is to play fetch -- that's right, if you throw the ball, I'll actually bring it right back to you! I’m just so happy to spend time with you and I have a lot of love just waiting to share with my new family. (PLEASE NOTE: I can only be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlene, a Aldie Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
