This 4 year old guy is Buddy. He was a breeder dog all his short little life. He was pretty much locked in a crate, forced to breed and never got to know what real love and life was about.
When Buddy came to us he was terrified and hid under the foster homes table for a few weeks.
After gently talking to him and coaxing him out with some tasty treats. Buddy started to feel safe and would come out in spurts to explore.
Everything in life is new to Buddy, his feet being on different textures like grass and pavement were new things for him to explore. At first Buddy had no idea what toys were or what to do with them. He is now just learning how to play like a normal dog.
Buddy needs a loving, patient home to allow him to go adjust to a new life in a new home with new people. He is best not to be with children. He does ok with calm dogs. He needs owners who understand what his life has been like and allow him to come out of his shell at his pace and not be forced. Once he feels love and security he is a wonderful dog. He loves to get belly rubs from his foster mom and sleeps with them at night too. He can be quite the love muffin now that he knows what love is all about.
