My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Amy! Amy was orphaned when she was 2 weeks old, along with her 6 brothers and sisters, when there mother was found dead after a fire. There were 7 pups when we were called to save them, but unfortunately, despite the best efforts of our wonderful vet, the smallest of the litter did not survive. They all suffered from flea anemia and poor nutrition, and despite 2 blood transfusions he just wasn't strong enough to make it.

Amy and the rest of her litter mates are doing very well, though. Now 3 weeks old, they are gaining weight and growing rapidly. They are healthy, happy pups who are becoming very social and playful.

Amy and her brothers and sisters will be available for adoption around the end of July, when they are 8 - 9 weeks old. They will be current on vaccines at that time, started on heartworm prevention and frontline, micro-chipped, and spayed/neutered by a vet that specializes in pedicatric sterilization.

The pics to your right were taken earlier tonight right after 'dinner,' so please excuse the mess ;) We were told that Amy's mother was a sable GSD, and her father was a black GSD.

Please Click Here to fill out an application. This is the first step in our adoption process. No adoption will be considered or discussed until this has been completed and received.

Amy must go to an indoor home where she will be an important part of the family. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21. Our adoption fee is $250.

Note: Mid-South Shepherd Rescue is a no-kill, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter location. Our dogs are kept in foster homes as part of a family, to help prepare them for transition into their forever homes. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please contact us by clicking on the email address to your right. We will be glad to make arrangements for a meeting.
