Bacall's Story...
Hi, I'm Bacall,

I am a super cute, medium hair tortie girl who is about 10 weeks old. One of RAIN's volunteers was shopping at Safeway in Midtown when she saw someone with a box of kittens. Well, she knew we were so cute and so in need of rescue that she called one of RAIN's foster homes and said "can anyone take them?". Luckily the answer was yes! Anyway, my sister Harlow and I have been living the fun life in a RAIN foster home playing with other kittens and adult cats and getting to nurse on a real nice mom cat who was done with nursing her kids. She's real cool and takes on any kitten that needs her! I am a bit more shy that my sister, only in that I don't like being held and cuddled too much. Right now I much prefer playing and having fun, and when I wear myself out I like to take a nap streatched out on a cat tree in the window.

I'm a fluffy gal who has super soft fur and great markings. I'm really a doll. If you want loads of fun, adopt me with another RAIN kitty, we will keep you amused for hours! I live with two big dogs too, they aren't my favorite but we co-exist okay! They leave me alone and I no longer "pop, lock and hiss" at them! I really cracked my foster mom up and scared the biggest dog when I started hissing and jumping all over when he got near me my first week at my foster home. Here I wa a 5-6 week old kitten of maybe 20 ounces defending myself againsts a 155 lb. black dogs. She laughed so hard tears came out of her eyes! Glad I could amuse here while I was scared to death. Oh well, I've kind of gotten over that! (kr)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bacall, a Sacramento Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
