jamba's Story...
Jamba was picked up by Animal Control and brought into a very rural shelter. There she patiently waited for her owner to come and reclaim her. Once it became clear that her owner weren’t coming in to get her, she was scheduled to be put to sleep. Luckily for her, a wonderful volunteer contacted our rescue to see if we had room. We did, and here she is! Jamba is a very sweet and loving young dog. She loves being around other dogs and people. When we met her for the first time she was a little skittish and had probably never walked on a leash before, but she’ll get more confident in no time! Jamba would probably do well in a medium active family who will take her to doggie obedience classes so she can get some more socialization in a controlled setting. Because she’s still young, she will most likely do some puppy things (i.e. a little chewing/housebreaking). A great dog with wonderful potential;-)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

jamba, a Aldie Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
