My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Happy is a 2-3 year old sweet Tzu who was found wandering the streets of a NJ city in a horribly matted condition, showing a lifetime of neglect. It took 2 people 3-1/2 hours to shave and scissor off the mess while trying not to nick the skin that the knotted mass of hair was pulling at so tightly. Before the shaving commenced, we weren't even sure if she was male or female - and it would sicken even a hardened person to realize what much of it was that we were cutting off her rear end and undercarriage. Happy stood ever so patiently during this massive undertaking - likely grateful for both the attention and the weight being cut away from her small body. Yes, Happy craves attention and is very affectionate - she gets very jealous when other critters in the house take that attention away from her and will growl as she pushes them away. So we believe she will do best being the only dog in the house and no children younger than 14, please. Oh, and cats are also a no-no unless you happen to have a cat that likes to be chased all over the house while being serenaded with a high-pitched bark! Happy is being fostered in upstate New York and her asking adoption donation is $275. E-MAIL INQUIRIES WILL BE ANSWERED FASTER THAN TELEPHONE CALLS.
