Hi, My name is Annie and I am a Black Lab Mix, between 1 1/2 and 2 years old. Animal Control picked me up as a stray in June and dropped me off at a kennel. They really thought I was shy, reserved, and not active. Well after being in the kennel for 2 months my foster mom came and got me this Monday. She was a bit concerned when I cowered as she approached me. She put me in the car and we were off to her house. I was a really good girl in the car. I actually loved it! We got home and she let me in the yard with her other dogs. I sniffed around a bit and explored. After about an hour my foster mom came to me and started to do what puppies do - the "bow and pounce" (silly mom she is). Well, it was all over! I went from a duckling to a swan within the hour.

I love to give kisses, play with balls, squeakie toys, other dogs and people. I can run like the wind (actually it is a puppy gallop). And my tail has not stopped wagging since Monday. I can be shy at first and I may bark but within minutes I will lick your hand (especially if you have a treat for me) and give you kisses and a toy for you to throw for me......

My foster mom thinks I was someone's pet at one point because I know Sit, Wait, Down, Come and Paw. We are working on Stay, but I am not letting her out of my sight so it might be tough for me right now.....

I am pretty much housebroken but my mom keeps me in a crate when she leaves for more than a few hours as well as at night. So as long as you give me something to chew on I am happy.

I am looking for an active home. I would prefer to be with older kids (13+) and another dog for me to play with (that would make me sooo happy). I would probably be ok with cats because I am a happy go lucky kind of girl (but I'm not sure). I am spayed and up to date on my routine shots. I am between 45 and 55 pounds and have a drop dead gorgeous black coat.

So if you are looking for a friend for life; who will play with you, love you to pieces and be at your side through thick and thin - I am your girl!!!!!
