MarloPENDING's Story...
ADOPTION PENDING!!!

Marlo – male, neutered, vet checked, vaccinated to date inclu Rabies, dewormed, heartworm tested (-), tx flea preventative, ~4yr, ~50lbs, Chocolate Lab.

Rescue from high volume, high kill shelter where she was slated to be euthanized due to over crowding.

Marlo is a typical Lab, his tail is generally wagging, he loves to fetch and of course all house guests have come to see him! He is probably a fan of swimming so a family with a cottage or a place for him to swim would be a bonus. Marlo is house trained and crate trained, he is currently crated at night and when left alone but would likely be fine given free roam of his home. Marlo is fit and healthy and enjoys an energetic walk each day as well as time at the dog parks. He is good with other dogs, cats and respectful children. Marlo would love to find a family in a house with a fenced yard to play ball in.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA paves the way for another one to be saved.
