AVA's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

AVA's Story...
Ava is a 3 year old pure bred boxer. (Docked tail and dew claws removed) She has spend her entire life chained out in the back yard pumping out puppies! Her previous owner's moved out and left her chained up in the back yard with no shelter, no food and no water. Despite her mistreatment by people she still loves getting attention and affection from her foster mom. Ava is tolerable of other dogs, but would probably be best place in a home where she will be the only dog. She is gentle enough for children and she is ok with cats. Ava had a rather large benign tumor on her neck that has been removed. Ava is heartworm negative and has been spayed. Ava is still a little thin due to the neglect she suffered, but she has a very hearty appetite! Ava know a few basic commands and she's doing really well on her house training.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

AVA, a Callahan Boxer/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Boxer for sale in Callahan, or seeking a Boxer/Boxer dog from a breeder in Callahan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Callahan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Callahan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Boxer breeders who help with Boxer/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Callahan paves the way for another one to be saved.
