Sophia was found abandoned out in the country and for the life of us, we can’t imagine who would discard this sweet soul. Nevertheless, after countless attempts to find any owner that she might have had, her rescuers came to the conclusion that her previous home did not want her back. Since they did not need to add another pet to their home, they contacted rescue for help. Sophia was taken in and is in a foster home with two male fur siblings and a feline sibling. Sophia is a nervous little baby with a lot of anxiety. We attribute this to the amount of effort that backyard breeders take in “breeding down in size" these babies to make them more expensive and more appealing to the public’s eye. We have found out that she would not do well with other nervous energy/high strung dogs because they make her upset and a doggy quarrel will ensue which would not be good for either pet, so Sophia will need to go to a home with a laid back dog that doesn’t mind a sibling that is a little anxious at times. She does seem to like other dogs, but judges her friends very quickly and either hates their personality or loves them so much she can be a bit of a pest to them.

Sophia is a great sleeping partner as she loves to be right next to her human, she loves giving kisses, does well with a bath and walk good on a leash. If interested in Sophia, access your own pet’s personality first because we want all to be happy adding to the family.
