Meet Marilyn: a pretty tricolored female Beagle that came to us from a NY City shelter. She's 2 years old and weighs 27 pounds. Marilyn is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, heartworm negative (on preventative) and microchipped.
Marilyn is a friendly, social dog who is happy to have been given a chance to start a new life. She's a quiet Beagle that enjoys leisurely walks and is well behaved on a leash. She is crate trained and seems to be housetrained to. Although she has access to a fenced yard, she seems to prefer the companionship afforded by taking walks instead. She likes to be with people more than other dogs and would be perfectly happy to be an only dog; in fact she may actually prefer it. She is capable of being left alone for several hours at a time and is good in her crate.
IMPORTANT: Safe Hounds Beagle Rescue does not operate a shelter where the public can meet our dogs. All of our Beagles are cared for in a loving foster home. Prospective adopters must submit an adoption application and be pre-approved to adopt. Once an applicant is approved, well begin a matching processthe right dog for the right home.
