Lizzie is just one of the many wonderful Beagles currently available for adoption. She's a friendly and cute 13" senior Beagle girl who's 9-10 years old. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped.

She's a playful, affectionate, happy little Beagle that likes people and greets everyone with wiggles and wags! She gets along with other small dogs, but so far hasn't been exposed to large dogs or cats. Given her natural instinct to chase things, a home without cats is recommended.

Lizzie is an energetic Beagle who enjoys romping in the backyard of her foster home. She will need the security of a Beagle proof fenced yard (not "invisible" or underground fencing) if she is to be allowed off leash. She is capable of climbing over 4' chain link fencing. Higher fencing or a different type would be necessary to prevent her from escaping her yard.

Lizzie LOVES to go for walks! She definitely has the Beagle nose and can sometimes be challenging to walk if she picks up a scent. She's crate trained but can't handle more than a 4-5 hour stretch before she needs go outside for a "potty break" during the day. She is generally fine overnight. She currently takes medication twice a day to help prevent accidents, which help a lot. Lizzie is a delightful little Beagle that will make a wonderful companion for that special someone. Prior dog experience (preferably Beagle) would be a plus.
