Sweet petite Missy's Story...
Sweet little Missy - tortie, approximately one-year-old, spayed, tested, and vaccinated.

Missy was one of the many cats rescued by SPCA Cincinnati last December from a home in Westwood, which was featured on the the local news. Along with five other cats, she was turned over to the Neighborhood Cat Helpers to foster. In their care, Missy has transformed from a scared, traumatized cat into a sweet, extremely playful little girl who is looking for someone to open their heart to her. Missy is a very petite and pretty tortie who rolls over and purrs with joy when spoken to. She appears to be at least partially blind in her left eye as the result of a scar on her cornea, but this hasn't impacted her gentle, yet fun-loving, personality.

For more information about Missy, contact Millie Schafer with the Neighborhood Cat Helpers at 513-351-9957. Her adoption fee is $50.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweet petite Missy, a cincinnati Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in cincinnati, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
