Tiny Christy's Info...
I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with cats.
Christy can be seen by appointment almost any day. We don't think she will show well at Purr-Suasions, but Safe Haven for Animals has a rescue house with a separate room where you could meet her. She is gentle but often gets frightened if picked up. She loves my lap, but it usually has to be her idea.
Christy is a very sweet and beautiful little cat (6-7 #). She is 2-3 years old. Her coat is called "agouti" which is unusual in cats. Her individual hairs are striped silver and black like a wolf, German shepherd or husky's might be. Her coat is thick and very soft. She has dainty white toes, a bib and black spots (eyes) on her legs. One ear is tipped as a sign she was spayed in a trap/neuter/return program.
She is beautiful and dainty and no one ever even asks to look at her! .
Christy is a little shy, but never aggressive. She likes to sit in your lap and be pet although doesn't want to be picked up or carried. She was evidently dumped and panhandled at a nearby architect's office where she played with one worker each day until they asked that she be "rescued."
She loves to clean all the Fancy Feast cans and plates, which is probably how she survived when dumped. She seems to believe her own dish of food just attracts bigger or pushier cats, so often leaves her dish for the cans! The longer she helps me with the feeding, the less spooky and more confident she behaves. She is beginning to drive other cats away from her chosen positions! .
I love this little cat and believe she will continue to blossom in a quiet or calm environment ... with gentle, older children and other quiet animals, too. She used to hide close to the floor, but now moves through the whole house and works the kitchen during feedings. She gets along with other cats but doesn't have a regular friend.
Christy is an advertisement for Trader Joe's Greek-Style Yogurt. She shows up instantly when she hears the lid being opened.
While I'm cleaning cat dishes throughout the other chores, Christy sits on the front of the sink while the water is running and I'm reaching over and around her cleaning the dishes and rinsing the cans for recycling.
Does she tug at your heart strings? Could you make her part of your forever family?
It is SOS Kitty policy with adult cats to offer a complete refund for a month if adopter is not satisfied... and take the cat back, of course. She is being fostered for Safe Haven for Animals, but I will honor that policy.
