Hutch's Story...
Hutch is such a lovable boy. He is always wanting to snuggle and just hang out with people. He is also VERY attached to his brother, Starsky. When their owner passed away, the family dropped them off at a shelter. You can imagine their stress over this, so we pulled them and they are now in a foster home...waiting for someone to adopt them...together. These two boys are a joy to be around. They are MELLOW, sweet, well behaved. They use a doggie door to go out to potty and all they want is to stay together. They've been together their whole lives so to seperate them now would be very traumatic for them. They are wonderful with kids and other dogs. These poor dogs ended up in a shelter due to the death of their owner. They were model citizens there but were very frightened. They are now in our care and with a wonderful foster family. Hutch is the red & white beagle and Starsky is the one with the darker coloring. If you have room at your home for two FANTASTIC dogs, these are your guys!! The adoption fee for both dogs is $300. They are neutered, up to date on vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hutch, a Portland Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Portland, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
