Billie's Story...
Courtesy Listing! - Please contact Jennifer and not Canine and Kitty Co-op.
Billie is a beautiful 2 1/2 year old, female, Labrador-Cocker Spaniel mix. She must've gotten most of her traits from the Labrador because she looks just like an mini Lab! She has a lovely golden tint to her fur and also long golden eyelashes that make her a very pretty girl. Billie is an adorable, fun, and energetic dog with lots of love to give once she warms up to you. She has a cute little bounce in her walk and almost trots when walking at a faster pace. While she is very playful, she can also just chill with you. When left at home, Billie will behave and usually sleep when no one is around instead of being destructive. She is a very smart dog, learns things very quickly and currently participating in training at Crossroads Rehabilitation. She is very good a taking care of her business on a newspaper or puppy pad if not let outside to do so. She is spayed, vaccinated, and approximately 30 lbs. Billie is a very happy, sweet, loving dog that enjoys frequent body rubs (esp. the neck and belly)! She also gets extremely excited to go for walks and it will show as soon as she sees the leash. Billy does have one area of concern that developed only recently. She has shown some aggression over food or when startled. We are looking for someone who will give this girl a chance at a quiet household and will be patient to let this girl come around in time. For this reason no young kids. If you can help Billy in a transition time of her life you may be able to save this dog from being euthanized for some recent behaviors of which we still have hope that she can be saved. My father has ordered me to euthanize her and I just can't seem to do it. She has too many nice qualities. She is also fine w/other dogs. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Billie, a Bellflower Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
